Description of the Ibiza & Formentera boat trips
Trip 1
Ibiza – Espalmador/Formentera – Cala Saouna – Ibiza
We depart from Marina Botafoch / Ibiza Nueva in the morning, stop for a while on the fantastic seashores between Espalmador and Formentera. To protect the underwater flora, dropping anchor in the bay of Espalmador is not permitted any more. Anchor buoys have been lowered here, making it more difficult to get ashore. That’s why we always drop anchor between Espalmador and Formentera, near the sandy bank where you can dive into crystal clear Caribbean-blue waters and swim only few metres to the sandy bank or to the beach. Here, you will find an idyllic bay with white fine sand and even deserted. This beach is one of the most beautiful of the southern Balearic Islands.
Another highlight is the natural mud bath on Espalmador, a mixture of sand, algae and sea water to form the “Fango”. Vitalizing forces are awarded him and you will have lots of fun rubbing the mud on your body.
For lunch, we recommend one of the beach clubs on Formentera. The restaurants with excellent culinary skills are "Juan y Andrea ", "El Pirata", “Monday … del Sol“ as well as "El Tiburon".
Now we continue to Cala Saouna. During the amusing journey to Cala Saouna along the rocky coast, we pass many picturesque bays which can only be reached by sea. Cala Saouna is a steep coast bay with white sandy sea bed. This is a very impressive bay for snorkelling and bathing. When the Northwest winds blow, we drop anchor here for being well protected.
After a relaxing day full of breathtaking impressions, we cruise back to the harbour of Ibiza where we will go ashore at 20:00 o’clock.
Journey time (engine hours) approx. 2.5 hours

Anchor buoys have also been lowered in Salinas for the protection of the underwater world. To stay near the beach, we mostly drop anchor on the edge opposite Salinas and the beach club Sa Trinxa. You can swim the short distance there or just observe the coloured moving from aboard. Many young people meet each other on the beach and in the bars, so that you will have the opportunity to enjoy “Ibiza live”. A very pleasant social atmosphere indeed!
